SYSLAB International AS (SI) has for more than 20 years worked with outplacement and entrepreneurship in Norway and many other countries in both Europe and Central Asia.
In Moldova, SI has been active since 2013 when the first center was inaugurated in Chisinau. Today SI has centers in Chisinau and Rezina, and will soon open a new center in Cahul.
The SI mission in Moldova is a multi-client project together with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Organization for SME Sector Development (ODIMM) of the Ministry of Economy of Moldova.
The focus group for SI Moldova is unemployed persons with higher degrees in various fields such as engineers, doctors and teachers, but also entrepreneurial talents looking to develop business ideas. This focus group is important to the development of the economy of a country. It leads to reduced unemployment in general and helps prevent “brain drain” (when the most resourceful move abroad). According to research, increasing employment amongst persons with higher degrees also leads to higher employment amongst other groups in society.
SI focuses on teaching participants to master presentation techniques, improve their networking and search for employment in a proactive manner, working together in groups in an environment that is similar to a work place. For entrepreneurial talents SI is the place where business ideas are examined, tested and developed into new business.
To date over 150 persons have been participants at SI Moldova, with a success rate of 86% finding relevant work within a period of a couple of months, or starting up their own company.
